We are pleased to announce that the CCUS Poland Association has officially joined the Working Group on the Development of Carbon Capture, Storage and Utilisation Technologies, operating under the Ministry of Climate and Environment.
This decision was confirmed in a letter from the Secretary of State, Mr. Krzysztof Bolesta, dated January 7, 2025.
The Ministry of Climate and Environment has responded positively to our request to participate in the work of the Working Group.
Our role will be advisory in nature, allowing us to actively support the development of carbon capture, transport, storage, and utilisation (CCUS) technologies in Poland. This is both a great honour and a responsibility that reinforces our commitment to advancing the transformation of the energy and industrial sectors toward a low-emission future.
In addition, our representative has been nominated to serve on two dedicated Working Sub-Groups operating under the Ministry’s Working Group, enabling even deeper engagement in substantive work on key aspects of CCUS implementation in Poland.
The CCUS Poland Association has also expressed its readiness to sign the Letter of Intent on the development of CO₂ capture, transport, storage, and utilisation technologies in Poland, prepared by the Ministry.
We are confident that the Association’s involvement in the Working Group will be a valuable contribution to the development of Poland’s CCUS strategy and to the implementation of innovative solutions supporting climate neutrality.
We thank the Ministry of Climate and Environment for its openness to collaboration and look forward to the joint efforts ahead!
We invite all interested parties to follow our future initiatives and progress in advancing CCUS in Poland.
